Credit Administration Analyst - Sacramento or Redding

Merchants Bank of Commerce has an immediate need for a Credit Administration Analyst. The Credit Administration Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Credit Administration Officer (CrAO) in monitoring and reporting on the Bank’s loan portfolio and in managing various facets of the credit administration function. The Credit Administration Analyst provides support in formatting and integrating loan policies and procedures and adds to the positive growth of the Bank by providing excellent service on administrative and operational matters pertaining to credit administration. This is done while ensuring prompt, efficient, confidential and accurate service.

Primary responsibilities include:
 
  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual loan and deposit reports for management, Loan Committee, and the Board of Directors.
  • Completing analysis and summary reports of economic data.
  • Supporting the CrAO in formatting and updating forms, documents, policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting the CrAO in creating meeting packets for management level meetings.
  • Supporting the CrAO in maintaining and analyzing large data sets.
  • Supporting the CrAO by serving as back-up for the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses calculation, utilizing a third-party software platform.
  • Supporting the CrAO on administrative and operational matters pertaining to credit and lending, during regulatory examinations, third party loan review and other audits.
  • Supporting the CrAO in the managing problem loan reports.
  • Supporting the CrAO in managing Sarbanes-Oxley Act credit and lending controls.
  • Supporting the CrAO in uploading appropriate documents to the Bank’s electronic storage system.
  • Supporting the CrAO in accomplishing essential duties and credit-related projects, as assigned.
Requirements of the position are a Bachelor’s degree in business or related major or equivalent related experience. Three (3) years of experience in working with credit and lending regulations, policies, procedures, products, services and analysis of financial indicators related to credit management is desired, but not required. The Credit Administration Analyst must also maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, work accurately with close attention to detail, have the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful Credit Administration Analyst will also have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, and strong analytical skills. The successful Credit Administration Analyst will also take initiative and prioritize tasks and have good organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills, and have a high degree of professionalism.
